Angelina Jolie Files Papers to Change Adopted Son’s Name to Jolie-Pitt

The world will soon be welcoming another Pitt, or at least a Jolie-Pitt, as Angelina Jolie has filed legal papers so that she may change the last name of her adopted son Pax Thien. Currently the three-year-old Vietnamese boy has the Jolie moniker affixed to his name because she was the one who officially adopted him.

Jolie filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday with the intention of including her partner’s last name, that being Pitt, as in Brad Pitt.

While Brad has adopted five-year-old Maddox and two year-old Zahara, Angelina filed adoption papers for Pax Thien as a single parent. The couple, who have shirked any public discussion of marriage, have a daughter together, Shiloh, who will be celebrating her first birthday in May.
