Israeli Air Strike in Gaza Strip Kills Palestinian Militants

At least three Palestinian militants belonging to the Islamic Jihad group were killed in an Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip on Sunday.

Israeli officials said the three men had been spotted in a field commonly used by militants to launch rockets into Israel. The Israeli military said the men “were preparing to fire rockets” when they struck.

The air strike followed a warning from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in which he promised an ‘immediate and powerful response” to attacks launched by militants.
