KCM HOLDINGS CORP (Pinksheets: KCMH) $0.137. Today announced GEENIUS, a KCMH incubated and patented knowledge transfer venture, has launched a live beta version of their exciting new GEENIUS software called “G-Lab” in advance of becoming a publicly traded company.
The “G-Lab” serves as an investor preview of the company’s “knowledge networking” Web 3.0 model that combines educational content with social media tools to monetize the internet. GEENIUS integrates a business strategy that bypasses waning advertising revenue models, where many companies have been unable to generate tangible profits. Solarfun Power Holdings (Nasdaq: SOLF) $10.08. Today announced that Jiangsu Linyang Solarfun Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Solarfun, has entered into three contracts to supply 12.65 MW PV modules to projects in China. The first contract was with Xuzhou Xie Xin PV Power Co., Ltd. to supply 10 MW PV modules for a project based in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. These modules were delivered during the fourth quarter of 2009. The other two contracts totaling 2.65 MW are for a government funded project in Anhui Province. Solarfun was one of four companies that won the bid to participate in the 15 MW project funded by Anhui Province. The modules are expected to be delivered during 2010. The project is subject to further government approval and financing. Certain commercial terms of the contracts are subject to further negotiation and adjustment.
What They Do: Solarfun Power Holdings Co., Ltd. manufactures ingots, PV cells and PV modules, and provides PV module processing services to convert PV cells into PV modules.
Vical Incorporated (Nasdaq: VICL) $3.45. Today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has granted the company's licensee Merial Limited, the animal health subsidiary of sanofi-aventis, full licensure for its ONCEPT(TM) canine melanoma vaccine, a therapeutic DNA vaccine designed to aid in extending survival of dogs with oral melanoma. Merial plans to launch the product at the North American Veterinary Conference (Orlando, January 16 - 20).
What They Do: Vical researches and develops biopharmaceutical products based on its patented DNA delivery technologies for the prevention and treatment of serious or life-threatening diseases.
Microsemi Corporation (Nasdaq: MSCC) $17.81. Today announced that it has received the year's first orders for its Microsemi SecureWave millimeterwave security products that include transceivers and switch subsystems for use in whole body imaging systems to be deployed in airports and other public and government facilities.
What They Do: Microsemi Corporation, is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of high performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits and high reliability semiconductors.
