House and Senate negotiators are working alongside the White House on a health care bill notably without the proposed income tax raise on the very wealthy earners according to democratic officials. Additionally, there is talk of throwing out the element of the plan demanding large corporations to provide coverage to their employees.
Additional changes, including more capital intended to insulate states from enduring the costs of Medicare expansion are also being discussed.
The final draft is expected for the end of January and will be discussed in President Obama’s State of the Union address.
