Michael Jordan led the University of North Carolina to an NCAA basketball national championship in 1982 and now his son, Jeffrey Jordan, would like to do the same for the University of Illinois.
The 18-year-old Jordan made a verbal commitment to the school after having an opportunity to meet with players and coaches and tour the school.
As a 6-2 guard, Jordan was a three-year starter at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Ill., and was twice named to the All Catholic League team.
