Google is considering discontinuing its Chinese operations following the discovery of the e-mail accounts of a human right activist being violated.
Tuesday Google notified the public of what they referred to a "highly sophisticated and targeted attack on our corporate infrastructure originating from China," via their company blog. The goal of the attacks was gaining access into the Gmail accounts of Chinese human rights activists.
While Google has not said they suspect the Chinese government’s involvement they have made the decision to end the censorship policy they designed specifically for the nation. The decision to discard government orders could result in the end of Google China.
