The pursuit of British candy maker Cadbury continues with Hershey Co. designing a solo bid that would allow them to acquire the company without the aid of Italy’s Ferrero International.
According to a source with the company, Hershey has been developing two different bids for Cadbury, one independent bid and another alongside Ferrero.
The amount of these bids is not known; however it would be assumed it would be more than the 16.5 billion bid by Kraft Foods Inc. that has until Feb. 2 to be accepted by majority shareholders.
