O2 Media’s Hit Show The Balancing Act Welcomes Barry’s Bakery, McCormick & Company, and Carl Buddig & Company to the Program!

In this series of The Balancing Act we’re giving a twist to a yummy treat, spicing up your meals-- and looking at lunch meat in a new healthier way!  Make sure you tune in to Lifetime Television Friday, January 15th at 7:30am (ET/PT).  The Balancing Act is joined by Barry’s Bakery, McCormick & Company, and Carl Buddig & Company.

Starting the show off with a twist is Gavin Yellen, President of Barry’s Bakery.  Barry discusses the history behind his product, the French Twists!  He also talks about his quest to make a type of pastry that wasn’t just sweet and tasty-- but good for you!  Balancing Act host Kristy Villa makes her way around town asking people their feedback after tasting the French Twists.  It was thumbs up for those who indulged themselves.  The French Twists can be found nationwide in almost 40,000 stores. They contain NO cholesterol, butter, yeast, dairy, transfats, or eggs!  If you’re kosher or vegan this might be the perfect twist to satisfy your sweet-tooth!  French Twist varieties include cinnamon, California almond, raspberry, and maple.  Check out www.barrysbakery.com.

Now it’s time to spice things up in the series-- with McCormick & Company!  The Balancing Act also welcomes Dr. Wendy Bazillion, author of the Super Foods RX diet.  Bazillion says, “Super Spices are no different than super foods because they scientifically proven to be healthier, disease fighting, familiar to us, versatile, and tastes good.”  Bazillion adds, “McCormick, the world leader in spices, identifies seven super spices that have the greatest potential to benefit our health- oregano, rosemary, thyme, cinnamon, ginger, red pepper, and yellow curry.”  McCormick gives out some great examples how certain spices contain as many antioxidants as regular fruits and vegetables.  People tend to forget that herbs and spices are fruits and vegetables.  Visit www.spicesforhealth.com for more information.

We come to the portion of the series where we lure you into lunch meat—and its healthy qualities!  Stacie Geisler joins the program from Buddig, and provides a healthier optioned lunch meat.  Buddig Deli cuts are high in protein, low in fat, portioned in the package, gluten free, extremely healthy—and are certified by the American Heart Association.  We must warn you, prepare yourself if you’re hungry and watching the show.  Because we’re covering everything from wraps to sandwiches and salads! Buddig Deli Cuts come in ham, chicken, and turkey varieties.  Geisler also talks about a favorite Buddig recipe-- the “other BLT”!  It’s a low fat blue cheese, lettuce, and turkey sandwich.  For more information on a lunch meat that’s great tasting, convenient, versatile, and a good value—go to www.buddig.com.

Don’t forget, you’ll want to stay tuned as the winner of the Dreams Resorts and Spa Family Sweepstakes is announced!
