Stock Update : SNE, NOC, TS - Strikes 52-week High

Sony Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) made a new 52-week high at $33.14 and now up 4.81% to $33.09. Dow Jones reported that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Sony Corporation have decided to jointly invest KRW3.45 trillion (USD3.07 billion) into their joint venture company S-LCD Corp., the Dong-A Ilbo reported. Samsung's spokesman James Chung, however, denied the report. The report is groundless. There was no such discussion on joint investment or anything said Chung.

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) touched a new 52-week high at $59.37 in morning trade. Currently the stock is trading at $59.22, up 2.88%. The company said that it has been awarded a contract by the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative to provide the Company's business process management software and learning assessment system to Texas government, nonprofit and education organizations. Under the terms of the Texas Association of School Boards BuyBoard Cooperative Purchasing contract, Northrop Grumman's e.POWER business process management software platform, and the Assessment Solutions Promoting Instruction, Reflection and Evidence (ASPIRE) learning assessment system are available for purchase by all city, county and education organizations in the state.

Tenaris S.A. (ADR) (NYSE:TS) made a new high at $46.92 and now up 4.69% and trades at $46.84. Tenaris S.A. is a global manufacturer and supplier of steel pipe products and related services for energy industry, as well as for other industrial applications. The Company’s customers include oil and gas companies, as well as engineering companies engaged in constructing oil and gas gathering, transportation and processing facilities.
