LeBron James scored 30 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 9 assists while Drew Gooden added a double-double with 10 points and 12 boards as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Washington Wizards 98-92 to take a 3-0 lead in their Eastern Conference playoff series.
The Cavaliers looked as if they were going to breeze past the Wizards after leading at halftime 61-44 but Washington staged a huge third quarter to head into the fourth down by just two.
Antawn Jamison scored 17 of his game high 38 points in the third quarter to bring the Wizards back to life.
Washington was able to tie the score 79-79 on a jumper from Darius Songaila but the Cavaliers used an 8-2 spurt to regain the lead and the Wizards could never get any closer than three the rest of the way.
Cleveland hit 50 percent of their shots from the floor and finished 46 percent from beyond the three-point line. The Cavaliers dominated the glass as well with a 48-33 advantage over the Wizards.
The two teams will meet again in Washington on Monday for game for of their best of seven series.
