Facebook announced Wednesday that it has partnered with computer security company McAfee (NYSE: MFE) in a move to increase the social networking site’s security, according to Associated Press.
McAfee will now scan and repair the computers of Facebook users whose accounts have been compromised due to a breach in Internet security. The scanning process will be an addition to the steps already in place by Facebook for users of such accounts who want to reclaim their pages.

As part of the deal, Facebook says McAfee will be its sole provider of consumer security software for a year.
