The Oakland Raiders traded wide receiver Randy Moss to the New England Patriots for the 110th overall selection in this year’s NFL draft.
Moss, who played two seasons with the Oakland Raiders, provided little help to an offense that produce just seven passing touchdowns last season. Moss finished the season with just 553 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
New England will become Moss’ third new home in four years. He spent his first seven seasons with the Minnesota Vikings where he put up huge numbers but was a distraction in the locker room. Moss joined the Raiders in 2005 and over his two seasons with Oakland had just 11 touchdowns.
Moss will look to becoem the go-to guy for Patriots quarterback Tom Brady who threw 24 touchdown passes last season.
With their fourth round pick that they received from the Patriots, the Raiders selected John Bowie from the University of Cincinnati.
