NBA Scores: Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire Lead Suns to 3-1 Series Advantage with Win Over Lakers
Steve Nash scored 17 points and dished out 23 assists while Amare Stoudemire finished with 27 points and 21 rebounds as the Phoenix Suns bounced back from a game three defeat to knock off the Los Angeles Lakers 113-100 and take a 3-1 lead in their Western Conference playoff series.
Los Angeles stayed close with the Suns for most of the first half but Phoenix was able to close the second quarter on an 8-2 run to carry a 58-51 lead into the break. Kobe Bryant scored 20 points in the opening half to keep the Lakers in the game.
Within the first two and a half minutes of the third the Suns lead had grown to 13 and the Lakers could never get any closer than eight the rest of the way. Phoenix led by as many as 20 before the starters were pulled off the floor.
Bryant finished with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists in the loss.
The series now heads back to Phoenix were both teams will meet on Wednesday for game five of their best of seven series.
