Why Was the FBI's 2004 Warning Of Mortgage Fraud Ignored

The Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, the group looking into the causes of the financial crisis, interrogated Attorney General Eric Holder about whether the FBI and the assertion that the bureau issued a warning of a looming outbreak of mortgage fraud in 2004.

 

Holder says he’s looking into what steps were taken as a result of the FBI’s 2004 warning and says his department is constantly “reviewing what we can do better.”
