For the third consecutive week Shia LaBeouf, 20, has been atop the box-office with his teen thriller “Disturbia.” Despite a paltry $9.1 million haul the Dream Works/Paramount movie outdrew newcomer “The Invisible,” which brought in $7.6 million over its debut weekend.
“Disturbia” has raised its total to $52.2 million after three weeks.
Nicholas Cage and Jessica Biel teamed up for “Next” which landed third at the box-office with $7.2 million in ticket sales while the Anthony Hopkins, Ryan Gosling holdover “Fracture” finished fourth with $7.1 million.
“Blades of Glory” remained in the top five after the Will Ferrell and Jon Heder comedy pulled in $5.2 million, taking its total haul to $108.1 million.
Next weekend is expected to be a huge launch into the summer as “Spider-Man 3” hits theaters.
