Kurt Cobain Items to be Auctioned Off by Courtney Love
Several items belonging to Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain will be auctioned off by his widow Courtney Love. The 42-year-old Love told Spinner.com “I’m going to have a Christie’s auction,” and told the web site her house was like a “mausoleum.”
Cobain, who committed suicide in April, 1994, married Love two years prior to his death. The couple had a daughter, Frances Bean, who will inherit “a sweater, a guitar and the lyrics to ‘(Smells Like) Teen Spirit’” according to Love.
No date has been set for the auction.
Love has said that part of the money raised through the auction would be donated to charity.
