Sprint has provided services to those who are suffering from the major catastrophe in Haiti. They wanted to help in more ways than one so on top of the $50,000 donation they have also waived the text-messaging fees for Sprint customers who send mobile donations to a number of short codes and organizations participating in the relief and recovery efforts in support of this tragedy.
Sprint would like to inform the public, that since Monday, the total amount that has been contributed by Sprint customers $882,000, and Sprint would like to assure you that 100% of these proceeds will indeed go to helping those in need during these horrific times.
“We have all been impacted by what the people of Haiti have experienced these past days, and our hearts go out to those who have lost family and friends in the disaster,” said Ralph Reid, vice president of Corporate Social Responsibility for Sprint. “This support from the Sprint Foundation will allow American Red Cross relief crews to give valuable assistance where it is needed most.”
