U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) said Friday that it will contribute $100,000 to the American Red Cross and waive remittance fees on money transfers to Haiti, according to Associated Press.
Haiti suffered its worst earthquake in over two centuries this week as myriad of companies have pledged to give donations to help rebuild the nation and rescue those affected by it.

U.S. Bank will also refund fees for remittances to Haiti made by U.S. Bank retail customers from any U.S. Bank branch. These fee-waived money transfers will be available through Feb. 28.
In addition, U.S. Bancorp said its U.S. Bancorp Foundation will match employee contributions made to eligible charities located in the United States.
