Supermodel Kate Moss unveiled her 50-piece collection of jeans, shirts and dresses on Tuesday at London’s fashion retailer, Topshop, and within an hour the stock was gone.
Moss was paid nearly $6 million by store owner Philip Green to design and inspire the collection for his outlets. After day one it appeared to be a wise investment.
While several critics have claimed that the designs are simply replications of styles the fashion icon has worn before, it mattered little to the hordes of shoppers waiting to get inside.
With prices ranging from $24 for a vest top to $300 for a leather jacket Moss and Topstore are keeping the line affordable.
The Kate Moss collection will be available in the United States at Barneys stores on May 9.
