Emission Poker2nite on last Wednesday featured a special program on late poker star Amir Vahedi who recently expired on January 8, 2010. He won nearly $3,250,000 by playing live tournament. In WSOP alone he won $671,216. He probably died of diabetic complications. The program aired by Fox Sports Net poker news brought several eminent poker players who paid their last homage to the great poker player.
Joe Sebok discussed about the 2010 Poker Carribean Adventure that will be held in Bahamas while sharing some jokes to Scott Huff, the presenter. Everyone was emotionally charged when Sebok narrated an incident involving him and Vahedi during a match when they were in a match of pocket sixes. The screen behind flashed a photograph of Vahedi that made the scene very poignant. Huff admitted that Amir Vahedi was perhaps the best guest he had ever interviewed in his studio and then narrated his personal experience when he interviewed Amir in 2005.
Layne Flack, the WSOP or Word Series of Poker came to the show and started the interview with an animated arm wrestling with Huff before addressing his fans.
The next segment of the program titled “High Stakes, low profiles” discussed some poker players about whom people does not know due to poor publicity. One can take the example of Amnon Filippi who secured the second place in Foxwoods Word Poker Classic last April after Vadim Trincher during the WPT of Word Poker Tour. .
During the program Huff said that it is his duty to inform poker enthusiasts about the great game of Poker. In the next part the Weekly Misdeal wall presented by Dana Workman which was full of wit and punch. A part of it discussed on the relationship between poker player Joe Cada and Jade Nicole, who is the ex-playmate of Playboy.
