Deadline Nears on Call for Technical and Student Papers at NANOTX’07

May 4 deadline for submissions in Technical & Business Focus, and Student Forum Papers, is fast approaching.

The Friday, May 4 deadline for submissions in Technical & Business Focus, and Student Forum Papers, is fast approaching.

NanoTX’07 is an International Nanotechnology Conference and Trade Expo, held at the Dallas Convention Center on October 3-4, 2007 in Dallas, Texas.

The Technical Focus areas include:

o  Biomedical
o  Carbon nanotubes
o  MEMS/NEMS
o  Nanoelectronics
o  Nanomaterials.

These topics should contain current results from investigations, new theories and planned investigations.  Focus area speeches will be 20 minutes in length including Q&A.  Additional papers may be selected for the Technical Focus poster session.  Each confirmed speaker and poster session participant will receive a complimentary full conference pass (including the trade expo) and an invitation to the Legends Reception on October 2, 2007.

To apply for the Technical Focus Call for Papers, candidates will need to submit the following information by email this week to technicalpapers@nanotx.biz.

1.  Color photograph (headshot) for the website
2.  Short biography of presenter for the website
3.  One line speech title for the website
4.  4-5 sentence speech topic summary for the website
5.  One page abstract
6.  Full contact information including work postal address
7.  Please specify if your submission is for an oral or poster presentation
 
The nanoTX'07 Speaker Selection Committee will notify confirmed speakers and poster session participants by June 1, 2007.

o  Electronics industry needs
o  Energy needs
o  Latter stage startup

Focus area speeches will be 20 minutes in length including Q&A.  Additional papers may be selected for the Business Focus poster session.  Each confirmed speaker and poster session participant will receive a complimentary full conference pass (including the trade expo) and an invitation to the Legends Reception on October 2, 2007.

Always held during International Nanotechnology Week ( www.nanotx.biz ), last year nanoTX'06 drew approximately 4000 attendees from the US and 24 foreign countries.  Nearly 40% of the attendees were decision makers; an additional 10% were CEOs.  Our conference included Chairman Emeritus Ross Perot, Sr.; Texas Instruments CEO Richard K. These topics should contain current results from investigations, new theories and planned investigations.  Forum speeches will be 20 minutes in length including Q&A.  Additional papers may be selected for the Student Forum poster session located on the trade expo floor and the author needs to be available by their poster during the Wednesday evening Exhibitor Reception.  Each confirmed speaker and poster session participant will receive a complimentary full conference pass (including the trade expo) and an invitation to the Legends Reception scheduled for the night before the event on October 2, 2007.
