Online gambling will be legalized by June 2010 and France is gearing up for the prospect. Almost 72% of the entire market share that has been under the control of Government till now will be opened up for private participants. To fight the tough competition leading online gaming players are thinking of an alliance instead of fighting for the share. All over Europe including France it has been observed that leaders are signing agreement to collaborate. Following the footsteps La Française des Jeux and the Barrière Group initiated a discussion recently for striking a deal or agreement so that they can form strategies to capture the huge market when the online gambling, casino, and poker market will officially open. Both the parties declared their collaboration officially.

of La Française des Jeux now wish to start its own exclusive poker site as they do not have much experience in online gambling. With their collaboration with the Barrier Group, who has been in the field for quite sometime now FDJ will be able to tackle the issues involving strategies and technicalities.  Le Figaro recently published the details of the meeting between these two organization’s Board of Directors in which the agreement was finalized. Both the organization has formulated some common strategies for targeting the French market and submitted it for the approval of ARJEL or Authority of Regulation of online gambling. Leaders in other European nations have been also looking forward to such alliances. For example, in Denmark Party Gaming will be merging with Danske Spil, the operator of Danish gambling for coming five years. As we know Party Gamin is one of the leading operators of online gambling in the world, this collaboration will surely bring great profits for both the organizations.

However, there are many unresolved issues regarding tax scheme etc., that are to be resolved before the market finally opens up to the players.
