Don Imus Plans to Sue for Remainder of Contract
Fired radio personality Don Imus plans to sue CBS Radio for the remainder of his $40 million contract citing a clause in his deal encouraged “irreverent” and “controversial” topics and conversations.
The 66-year-old radio host was fired in April after he described the Rutgers women’s basketball team as “nappy-headed hos” while on air.
CBS Radio had hired Imus to a five-year deal just three months prior to the comments and could find themselves shelling out a large amount of money due to the clause in the contact that implied his controversial style was expected.
