2010 Australian Open Round 2 Results: Svetlana Kuznetsova moves into Third Round with Straight Set Win Over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova

Svetlana Kuznetsova looked extremely sharp in her second round match at the Australian open, needing just over an hour to knock off Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 to move into the third round.

Kuznetsova finished with 29 winners in the short match and committed just one double fault as she used a controlled service game and feasted on the unforced errors of Pavlyuchenkova. Kuznetsova collected points on 74% of her first serves put in play while Pavlyuchenkova could manage points on just 50% of her first serve.

Kuznetsova has two Grand Slam singles title to her credit, a U.S. Open victory in 2004 and a French Open title earned earlier this year. The Russian reached the finals of the French Open in 2006 before falling to Justine Henin and reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open in 2005 and 2009 and the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 2003, 2005 and 2007.
