Geithner Challenged by US Gov.

Financial World News Update by Equities Magazine

The federal government is challenging the request of a Michigan's citizen to interview the Treasury Secretary in a lawsuit centered around the American International Group Inc. bailout.

Attorneys for the U.S. government claim the circumstances at hand do not authorize the deposition of Timothy Geithner. Those circumstances revolve around the plaintiff’s understanding that the AIG bailout was illegal for their affiliation with products that promote the Islamic religion.

The Justice Department, in a court filing last week, wrote that understanding the executive decision-making process has limits.
