What a better way to overcome your own addiction, than to take part in activities that benefit the community? This is the attitude of Narconon clients as they create their very own sled to participate in a local sled race near Albion, Michigan.
This community event is sponsored by the local chamber and other local businesses and will take place the last week in January. Narconon clients will create a man-made sled out of just cardboard; tape and glue to recognize Narconon drug rehabilitation and promote the message of permanent recovery from substance abuse.
“Our clients have already started working on this project,” says Megan Werner-Brennan, Supervisor at Narconon Freedom Center. “They are very excited about being able to take part in this fun and free community event.”
“This is just one of many community activities that Narconon clients and staff will be participating in this year in the local area and throughout the state of Michigan,” adds Brennan. “A key part of our drug treatment is to help addicts to become ethical and productive members of society and giving back to the community.”
