2010 Australian Open Round 2 Results: Gisela Dulko Drops First Set but Fights Back to Stun Ana Ivanovic

Gisela Dulko continued her pursuit for her first career Grand Slam singles title, outlasting Ana Ivanovic in a three set marathon 6-7 (6-8), 7-5, 6-4 to move into the third round at the Australian Open in Melbourne.

Dulko had Ivanovic on the ropes several times and eventually capitalized on her break point opportunities, finishing with nine on 28 chances. In a match that lasted nearly three hours Dulko and Ivanovic combined for 146 unforced errors but it was Dulko who found the points at the best time.

Dulko had never been past the second round at the Australian Open prior to this year. The Argentinean reached the fourth round at the 2006 French Open and the fourth round at the 2009 U.S. Open. Her best finish at Wimbledon has been a third round appearance which she accomplished in  2004, 2006, 2008 and 2009.
