Romance Novels and Online Celebrities

The Lonesome Losers Comedy Show on REC TV

Reader’s Entertainment Channel online television is one of the newest endeavors to bring in young readers and make reading as sexy as this summer’s blockbusters. But, how can books compete for the hard-earned entertainment dollar?

Reader’s Entertainment Channel TV (REC TV) offers book video, industry news, book reviews, behind the scenes documentaries, music videos and original shows such as the new online comedy hit The Lonesome Losers.

The Lonesome Losers is created to appeal to ages 16 – 35 and anyone who appreciates Saturday Night Live humor can appreciate the sitcom.

Todd and Terry are best friends who hang out in Todd’s mom’s garage.  They dream of becoming online celebrities by offering love advice on their website www.thelonesomelosers.com.  But, the 25 hits they’ve gotten this month aren’t encouraging, especially since Todd’s mom counts as 23 of those!  But, before they can give up, Todd discovers the answer to all of their celebrity and romance woes; romance novels.  Hidden in a box in the garage are Todd’s mom’s romance novel collection. When Terry gets the idea that romance novels have all the advice any man could ever need, the guys start using the novels as love advice.  And though the lonesome-duo has a lot to learn, they have finally found something that can turn their dreams into reality!

The first episode of  The Lonesome Losers aired on May 5th and a new episode will show each Saturday, playing all week on REC TV.

Reading is entertaining, educational and enlightening.  REC TV offers individual Genre-Stations both fiction and non-fiction.  How can books compete for the entertainment dollar?  By showing people that books are entertainment. And if you don’t feel like going out on the town tonight, you can be entertained, all weekend long, between the sheets of a really good book.
