Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton each scored 20 points while Rasheed Wallace and Tayshaun Prince added 13 apiece as the Detroit Pistons blew out the Chicago Bulls 95-69 to take a 1-0 lead in their second round Eastern Conference playoff series.
Detroit held the Bulls to just 28 points in the second half as Chicago shot 32 percent from the field in the game. Chicago was forced to rely on their starters throughout the game as their bench hit a miserable 3-30.
While Chicago struggled from the field they didn’t do themselves any favors by turning the ball over 22 times in the game either. Detroit scored 19 points off the Bulls miscues while getting off twelve more shots in the game.
The two teams will meet again in Detroit on Monday for game two of their best of seven series.
