Boozer gave the Jazz a two point lead on a bucket with 3:37 left on the clock but Jason Richardson answered with a triple to give the Warriors a one point advantage. The two teams went back and forth with the Jazz holding on to a two point lead until Richardson sank a pair of free-throws to know the score at 112-112 with 33 seconds left.
It was Boozer once again who put the Jazz back in front after Mehmet Okur missed a three-pointer. Boozer grabbed his 20th rebound and followed up with the go-ahead bucket with 17 seconds in the game.
Stephen Jackson then missed a three-pointer for the Warriors and Matt Harpring was fouled and sealed the game with a pair from the line with 7 seconds left.
The Warriors, coming off their upset series win over the Dallas Mavericks, are now in a one game hole against a team that brings them match-up problems. Utah dominated Golden State on the glass with a 54-36 advantage. Of Utah’s 56 rebounds 20 were offensive.
Both teams will meet again in Utah on Wednesday for game two of their best of seven series.
