Textron, Inc. (NYSE:TXT) has announced that it’s company Textron Systems’ operating unit AAI Corporation has been selected by the Royal Netherlands Air Force for its Advanced Boresight Equipment (ABE®). The ABE® will be used for the Air Force’s harmonization on the AH-64D Apache Longbow® and the CH-47F Chinook® helicopters. A gyro stabilized, electro-optical angular instrument measurement system, ABE® is designed to align aircraft subsystems. AAI will deliver the ABE AH-64D Apache Depot Boresight System to the Air Force to align various sensor, weapon, and sighting systems. An ABE AH-64D Apache Maintenance Aircraft Survivability Equipment Boresight Kit for AMASE alignment.
