THE OOHLAS HIT SINGLE “SMALL PARTS” INCLUDED ON SPIDER-MAN 3 SOUNDTRACK

BEST STOP POP, SELF-PRODUCED DEBUT ALBUM OUT NOW!

Picked as one of Blender Magazine’s 50 Best Albums of 2006 – The Oohlas continue to achieve success with their debut album BEST STOP POP.  The band’s first single “Small Parts” (as heard on MTV’s The Hills), has joined the Spider-Man 3 soundtrack alongside The Killers, Snow Patrol, and The Flaming Lips.

The Oohlas, featuring Ollie Stone on guitar and vocals, Greg Eklund on lead guitar and vocals, and his brother Mark on bass, spent countless hours writing and recording their debut in Greg Eklund’s garage.  The result is the self produced Best Stop Pop.  Described best by The Los Angeles Times, the trio’s debut features “surging guitars, soaring vocals, big choruses, undeniable hooks…this debut chews up power-pop turf the same way Weezer’s early album did.  Crunchy, with a sweet aftertaste.”  Currently rounded out by drummer Shane Kraus, the band continues to conquer the US one show at a time.

Having just come off a successful run with Men, Women, and Children, the band rocked out at New Jersey’s The Bamboozle festival this past weekend and will be meeting up with Hot Hot Heat on a few dates this month.
