Narconon Drug Rehab Program Expands

Narconon Louisiana opened its doors in 2006 as a way for people in the community and surrounding states to get effective rehabilitation for drugs and alcohol. After almost four years in operation, the long-term residential treatment program is fast becoming one of the premier Narconon centers in the United States so as a result it is expanding to handle the growing number of support staff needed to help clients on the program.

Due to Narconon Louisiana’s 76% success rate for permanent recovery, they have been looked at as a model center and are one of the most successful drug and alcohol treatment programs in the country.

“Our facility attributes it’ success to several factors,” explains Jeff Lukas, Executive Director of Narconon Louisiana. “A big part of this is our service that allows our clients the assurance that their lives are taken seriously, and allows families some peace of mind, knowing that their loved one will not fall through the cracks, or skate by without getting to the bottom of the addiction that is killing them.  We also use a very effective method to handle substance abuse”

Narconon Louisiana understands that some of the biggest hurdles to get by when overcoming an addiction are the intense cravings that addicts experience. Their unique sauna detoxification program is designed to significantly reduce those cravings and helps to stop the cycle of relapse. In addition, the program also handles the mental and emotional components of the addiction by finding out what problem drugs were used as a temporary a solution for.

The Narconon program does not subscribe to the idea that addiction is a disease. Instead, clients work one on one with a counselor to handle why drugs and alcohol became such a focal part in their lives.

Just a few weeks into the New Year, Narconon Louisiana has made the first step towards expansion because of the growing number of clients starting their drug rehab program. Recently purchasing a new house for staff accommodations, the drug and alcohol rehab is increasing the amount of staff in order to maintain the personalized, one-on-one counseling that allows the facility to help people become productive, drug-free, crime-free members of society.

“We want to make our program even more effective,” explains Mr. Lukas. “So one way to do this is to bring on more staff so that we can better serve our clients and give them additional one-on-one time and help throughout the program.”

“The result,” he adds, “is that we will help our clients to become stable, productive and drug-free members of society.”
