The petition to spare celebutante Paris Hilton from 45-days in the pokey is still sitting on the desk of California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and won’t be reviewed until the 26-year-old has exhausted all of her legal options according to Aaron McLear, a spokesman for Schwarzenegger.
McLear stated “We’ll treat this as we would any other case of this nature, but it would be premature for the governor to get involved until the individual has exhausted his or her judicial remedies.”
After Hilton was sentenced to a stint in lockup for violating her probation a petition was started to ask the governor for a pardon. Over 4,000 signatures have been accumulated for the plea to spare the star of “The Simple Life” from a much harder life.
Hilton is slated to begin her sentence on or before June 5.
