Zygo Corporation (NASDAQ:ZIGO) has announced the appointment of Chris Koliopoulos as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. The appointment is effective immediately. Dr. Koliopoulos is also a member of the Board of Directors. He succeeds J. Bruce Robinson, who announced his retirement plans in October.

Formerly the President and CEO of ADE Corporation, Dr. Koliopoulos offers Zygo his experience in the delivery of growth and increasing value at advanced optical instruments companies. He also exhibits a deep understanding of the company’s core markets. He has also served on the faculty of University of Arizona’s Optical Sciences Center.
