Recently topping People Magazine’s “Most Beautiful People 2007” Drew Barrymore has landed another honor this week. The 32-year-old actress was named as an ambassador for the World Food Program.
Barrymore, who just completed a trip to Kenya where she spent time learning about the WFP initiative to provide school meal projects for children, said “I can't think of any issue that is more important than working to see that no schoolchild in this world goes hungry.”
Barrymore is currently staring in “Lucky You” and has appeared in several movies that have gone on to earn huge box-office dollars such as “E.T. the Extra Terrestrial,” “Batman Forever,” “The Wedding Singer,” and “Charlie’s Angels.”
