Cardinal Health (NYSE: CAH) Names James Mongan to Board

Cardinal Health Inc. (NYSE: CAH) reported Monday that the health services company named James Mongan to its board of directors, according to Associated Press.

Mongan, 67, served as president and CEO of Partners HealthCare System Inc. from 2003 until his retirement last month.

 

Mongan was president and CEO of Massachusetts General Hospital, which is one of the founding members of Partners HealthCare, for six years and was dean of the Missouri School of Medicine from 1988 to 1996.

 

Prior to that, Mongan was a staff member with the U.S. Senate Finance Committee and was associate director of the White House domestic policy staff.

 

Shares of Cardinal Health rose 24 cents to $32.21 at Monday’s close.
