Waste Management (NYSE: WM) to Invest in Harvest Power

Waste Management Inc. (NYSE: WM), the nation's largest trash hauler, announced Monday that it would invest in Harvest Power to expand next generation organics recycling facilities across the United States and Canada, according to the company’s statement.

The financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.

 

Harvest Power owns and operates the largest food and yard waste composting facility in North America. In addition, the company also processes trash to produce biogas and compost. Its founding investors are Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Munich Venture Partners.
