Mainland Resources Inc: (MNLU.OB) is a junior independent oil and gas exploration, development and production Company developing the natural gas potential of several leases in the northern Louisiana Haynesville Shale play. The Company has also entered into a joint venture to explore further extensions of the Haynesville in Mississippi. The company holds interests primarily in the East Holly Field covering an area of approximately 2,551 net acres located in De Soto Parish, northwest Louisiana. It also leases various other properties totaling approximately 144 net acres within the Cotton Valley/Haynesville trend in the State of Louisiana.
MNLU is already producing approximately 2.3 MMcfe/d net to Mainlands revenue interest. Dramatic changes in the recovery techniques have now made possible to extract gas from unconventional sources such as Shale gas which have very attractive well economics. MNLU anticipates large demand in natural gas due to its environmental friendly features and less expensive extraction techniques. MNLU intends to leverage its strong industry ties, robust production pipeline, and technical insights to establish itself in the unconventional energy market set to boom.
