For the first time in the 14 seasons of ‘Survivor’ the winner of the show was a unanimous selection from the jury members.
Earl Cole, the 35-year-old California resident, took the top prize after a jury of nine castoff members of ‘Survivor Fiji’ selected the advertising executive as the games most deserving winner of the $1 million top prize.
Cole was in a final three showdown with Cassandra and Dreamz when it came down to the final vote. It was Dreamz who took the brunt of the jury’s attack as they criticized him for breaking a promise he had made to contestant Yau-Man.
After Yau-Man won a truck in a rewards challenge during the second-to-last episode he turned the keys over to Dreamz in exchange for immunity if Dreamz were to win the final challenge. When Dreamz won the challenge he opted to break his word and it cost Yau-Man his opportunity to make the final three.
Dreamz defended his action as part of the game but the jury didn’t see it in the same light and when it came time to vote for the most deserving survivor it was Cole’s name that unanimously won out.
