Conference organizers report a significant number of those wishing to submit entries have asked for an extension, saying the May 4 deadline for submissions in Technical & Business Focus, and Student Forum papers, provided too short a window to organize materials.
The new deadline is now June 1. “Another three weeks, that’s all the time permits,” said Dr. Walt Trybula, Director of the Nanomaterials Application Center at Texas State University-San Marcos, after a number of requests were received to postpone the deadline beyond the end of the school year. “The end of May is the time by which we had planed to announce our selections,” added Ashley Cockerill, Event Coordinator, “now we’re into June.”
