McGraw-Hill CEO Terry McGraw appeared on an early morning interview with CNBC seems to have let slip a few details of the Apple tablet’s inner workings: “We have worked with Apple for quite awhile—the tablet is going to be based on the iPhone operating system,” he said.
Adding that that fact is important as it means the tablet with be compatible with content and apps, he said, “We have 95 percent of all out materials and are in e-book format on that one.”
Many magazine and newspaper publishers are looking to the Apple tablet as a delivery option to help them regain some advantage against the internet as well as another viable contender of Amazon’s Kindle.
In morning trading Apple stock was down $3.74, or 1.33 percent, to $203.20.
