Justine Henin enjoyed her easiest match of the 2010 Australian Open and punched her ticket to the finals after blasting China’s Zheng Jie in a two set laugher 6-1, 6-0 in less than an hour.
Henin dominated every facet of the match as she scored points on 84% of her first serves put in play. As impressive as Henin was with her own serve it was her ability to crush the serve of Zheng that really made the difference as Zheng produced points on just 36% of her first serves put in play. The Belgian also capitalized on her break point opportunities, taking five of ten while never surrendering a break of her own.
Henin left competitive tennis in 2008 after winning seven Grand Slam singles titles. The 27-year-old Belgian won the Australian Open in 2004, the U.S. Open in 2004 and 2007, and the French Open in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007. She reached the finals at Wimbledon twice but fell to Venus Williams in 2001 and Amélie Mauresmo in 2006; both matches went three sets.
