Wholesome Internet Services Desired According To ChristiaNet Poll

Internet services such as wireless Internet services, high speed providers, broadband wireless access and cheap ISP providers are some of the Internet related articles at http://www.christianet.com/internetservices/.

ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world's largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, in a recent survey asked readers, "Should Christians use non Christian Internet services?" Most participants feel that it is ok as long as the services offered promote a wholesome and healthy environment. One Believer said, "As long as we are continually mindful of what we log onto, so as to not grieve the Holy Spirit." Christ said to think on things that are praiseworthy and of good report.  (http://www.christianet.com/internetservices/)

Out of 292 responses, 175 participants answered "yes" to using non Christian Internet services. Services that operate ethically and morally may not be labeled "Christian." One user wrote, "Not every website has a Christian label to it. I mean, what is wrong with clicking on a dictionary link? Does everything in the real world have to be associated with Christianity? We just have to be careful and discipline ourselves to not be tempted to the sites which are sinful." Christians should pray for discernment to avoid sites that offer services that might be harmful.

Fifty-two readers do not believe that Christians should ever use non Christian Internet services. Each person must search their own heart for the right answer to this question. Christians need to keep things in the proper context when making decisions about anything. President Bill Cooper, of ChristiaNet commented, "God can bless His children by using non Believers. Pray about it and examine the type of content that is placed on the website."

Sixty-five participants were unsure about the survey question. Those that draw the line in the sand should draw it for everything. Does anyone ever know for sure that they are doing business with a Christian establishment? One Believer commented, "I would think that sometimes it would be very difficult to determine if the owner of a website or Internet Service Provider is Christian or not." This leaves much room for thought but most participants overall agree that Christians should be selective in their choices. Not all non Christian websites or services can be labeled as "bad" and many provide "good" information. Most have contact numbers and will talk with consumers about any concerns regarding their company's purpose statement and operational procedures.  For more information, visit: http://www.christianet.com/articles/
