The latest Vera Bradley pattern known as “Loves Me…” is a beautiful pink daisy pattern with a navy blue background. But this pattern doesn’t just look good – sales of this particular pattern also do good.
Vice President of Design, Veronique Poudrier, says that “Loves Me…” was designed with the color pink in mind, as pink is the color of breast cancer awareness.
“Pink is obviously the color of awareness and the daisy is known for its healing natures,” Poudrier revealed.
The navy blue color was chosen for the background because it represents dependability and trustworthiness. The pattern itself is homage to American textiles of the sixties.
Vera Bradley, a popular cloth bag and accessory manufacturer, has designed eight patterns to benefit breast cancer research and services since 1998. 10% of the proceeds of each patterned bag or accessory sold go directly to the company’s Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer as well as other related organizations.
Poudrier says that the patterns express the company’s “hope for a cure.”
“These colors give inspiration and confidence that one day no lives will be impacted by the disease,” she believes.
Like mesothelioma cancer, breast cancer affects many Americans each year. In order to work towards a cure, a great deal of money is required for cancer research.
The executive director of the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer stated that a $1.75 million dollar donation was made to the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center at the close of 2008.
Those looking to support the foundation may do so by making an online donation at http://www.verabradley.org/support. For more information about mesothelioma cancer, please visit the Mesothelioma and Asbestos Awareness Center website.
