Buying Travel Insurance Is Wise According To ChristiaNet Poll

Travel insurance such as cruise insurance coverage, low cost travel policies, holiday insurance plans and trip cancellation insurance are some of the travel coverage related articles at http://www.christianet.com/insurance/.

ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world's largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, polled readers in a new survey to answer the question, "Should Christians purchase travel insurance?" The majority of Believers agree that it is better to be insured because of unforeseen circumstances that could arise. One reader said, "Yes, it's the responsible thing to do. You never know what could go wrong. This will offer some peace of mind." Another reader felt that purchasing coverage is making an investment in the future.  (http://www.christianet.com/insurance/)

Out of 216 participants, 148 said "yes" to purchasing travel insurance. In addition, it is a good idea to include trip cancellation insurance. Airlines do not normally reimburse consumers for unused tickets. President, Bill Cooper, of ChristiaNet.com, says, "Before taking a trip check into all the options available to cover losses related to travel." There may be medical, burial, and other policies that need to be considered. One reader made a good point by communicating the need to think of family members when traveling and what might happen to them in the worse case scenario.

Sixteen readers answered "no" to the survey question. Many in this group felt that it could be showing a "lack of faith" for Christians to worry about such things. One Believer said, "God is my protector and I am under the Shadow of the Almighty." Most Christians would agree that they have faith in God but purchasing trip cancellation insurance would allow the consumer to be reimbursed for some of the expense if travel plans were to change. Several participants felt that it depends upon how much a person makes trips.

Fifty-two people who participated in the survey were unsure about purchasing travel insurance. Some Believers consider it wise to think of the future but are a little weary of the extra expense involved in purchasing coverage. One participant wrote, "It is a matter of opinion. I don't ---waste of money!" It may also depend on the coverage with current policies. Additional trip cancellation insurance may not be needed if the ticket purchases are small or travel expenses are minimal. Most Believers agree that each person should seek God for any concerns related to travel.  For more information, visit: http://www.christianet.com/articles/
