Toyota Motor Corp.’s Euro Division Recalling 1.8 Million Cars

Financial World News Update by EQUITIES Magazine

Today Toyota Motor Corp.’s European division said that up to 1.8 million vehicles could be recalled due to the faulty accelerator pedals.

The company said its Aygo, iQ, Yaris, Auris, Corolla, Verso, Avensis and RAV4 models are all affected by the problem and the recall will affect vehicles made between February 2005 and January of this year, depending on the model.

The European recall was announced Wednesday without details of models or numbers affected. The company, which is viewed by many to be the world leader in automotive quality, has been suffering from the damage the recalls are doing to its reputation.
