An overwhelming majority agree that Believers should consider honest and legal business prospects especially when there is a chance to advance the Kingdom of God. One participant said, "We need to explore all avenues to work and help the Church and family." The consensus of the majority is that Christ should be honored in everything. Out of 244 readers, 212 responded "yes" to the survey question. Many of the participants in this group felt that it is important to ask guidance of the Lord before making a decision to work from home. ChristiaNet's President Bill Cooper said, "God wants His children to make wise investments and be prosperous." It is important to have the right attitude toward God when blessings come through business opportunities because He is the giver of all good things and must be honored as such. The survey results strongly suggest that many Believers understand the importance of giving back to God through tithes and offerings.
Four participants responded "no" to the survey question and 28 were unsure. Comments from these groups emphasized the point that it really depends on the type of business. Christians should never consider any endeavor to work from home through business opportunities if it would compromise their faith. Some of the opportunities that might be available to Believers involve partnering with others through franchises or affiliate programs. Advice from participants, seem to follow Biblical teaching that Christians should be careful about being yoked with Unbelievers.
The Bible teaches that Believers should be "the head and not the tail" and that God wishes for His children to prosper "just as their soul prospers." It is important to have the right attitude towards God when making a decision to work from home. One participant stated, "With money, the message of love would be more effective through the delivery of charity instead of words of encouragement offered to starving people." God blesses His children with many different gifts and one of those is the capability to do well in operating a company with the outcome delivering eternal results.
