ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world's largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, asked readers to participate in a new survey by answering the question, "Are Christian blog sites useful?" One reader answered, "Yes, they are. They allow Christians to come together to share their ideas with one another without feeling judged and under pressure." Many participants seem to agree that Christian blogs are a good tool for evangelism and a good place for sharing with other Christians, to provide comfort and encouragement.
Out of 310 participants, 156 responded "yes" to the survey question. Christian blogs provide a place for those who are lonely to have fellowship with other Christians. Some Believers look forward to using this avenue to talk with their friends and acquaintances and to meet new people. President of ChristiaNet, Bill Cooper, offers some insight about evangelism by saying, "God provides tools for His children to not only help one another, but to win souls for the Kingdom."
Fifteen participants answered "no" to the survey question and 139 were unsure. Some of the participants had unpleasant experiences with blog sites and others did not know what they were. It seems that many people who participated in this survey have never used one. One reader commented," I'm not sure, I haven't used one, but after I finish this survey I think I'll look into it."
Overall, many Believers are finding online communications with other Christians encouraging. One encouraged Believer wrote, "I learn a lot from different people across the world. I enjoy laughing at some of the comments. I learn things about the Bible, that I did not know before and have fellowship with other Christians when feeling lonely or isolated."
Many participants have enjoyed using Christian blog sites for evangelism by witnessing about the Lord and His goodness. Believers share Bible scriptures and minister to one another about their knowledge in God's Word. Many participants enjoy frequented sites that offer some valuable learning information. One Believer who enjoys the process said, "You just never know what seed you might sow on a Christian site. As people read your comments, it might just be what they needed that day.
