Online Degrees A Mystery To Christians According To ChristiaNet Poll

Online degrees such as distance learning, online bachelors degrees, masters program and accredited universities are some of the online degrees related articles at http://www.christianet.com/onlinedegree/.

ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world's largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, asked readers to comment on the recent survey question, "Are online degrees popular among Christians?" The majority of the participants were unsure about acquiring a degree online. Believers may be uniformed about distance learning programs, since so many answered the poll with uncertainty. One curious participant had this to say, "I think this is something I would like to explore."  (http://www.christianet.com/onlinedegree/)

Out of 246 participants, 184 were unsure about Christians using distance learning programs. Bill Cooper, President of ChristiaNet, had this to say about online degrees, "It is important when choosing a degree program to find out about the school's accreditation. Regionally accredited schools provide higher recognition with employers and other educational institutions. Most of the prestigious colleges are regionally accredited."

Thirty-three readers answered "yes" to the survey question. Believers in this group seem very well informed about obtaining a degree online. One reader said, "Studying is much more convenient using a computer and information is much more readily available. There isn't as much hassle involved as commuting to campus and studying." Distance learning programs do offer some benefits to the busy lifestyles of Believers. Study material, classmates, and instructors, are all at one's fingertips.

Universities that offer degree programs usually tailor the online curriculum to be similar to the campus curriculum. One very happy student writes, "I am working on one now. Yes, it is the only way I could do so at my age of 69 with my options." Many people view education online as an answer to prayer for various reasons. People who have disabilities and cannot drive or those who are so busy that the only way they can continue with their education is to work on assignments during off hours.

Twenty-nine readers answered "no" to the survey question. Many of the comments by this group were made from readers who live in various other countries and haven't had the same opportunities that Americans have. One Believer said, "Many Christians in my country do not know about online degrees." Continuing educational programs on the Internet are a blessing to those who don't have the resources available anywhere else.  For more information, visit: http://www.christianet.com/articles/
